While this is the future dream we want to start making a real difference NOW. To do this we are supporting established and reputable Foundations to carry out our vision so that your travels make a meaningful difference!

Did you know that 40% of children in Sub-Saharan Africa aren’t in school? Even for those who make it through to grade 12, less than a third can demonstrate an understanding of their course material. This means many young people enter the workforce with limited literacy and numeracy skills, making it tough to find well-paid jobs. Simply put, there's a huge gap in education, and it’s holding back entire communities. That’s why we believe in giving Southern Africa’s youth a chance to finish their education. With support, these kids can break the cycle and make a real difference in their families and communities.

Of all the causes we could support, we’re certain that investing in education is the most impactful. It’s simple: we share. A portion of every booking goes directly toward sponsoring a child’s education, supporting them through high school. We do this by partnering with incredible foundations who are already doing amazing work on the ground.
They handle the day-to-day, and we provide the funding. Together, we ensure that more children get the opportunity to finish school and create a brighter future.

How We Work
Making a measurable difference
We partner with trusted foundations that have years of experience in making change happen. They take care of the logistics, the operations, and the selection process. We provide the funding, and they do the rest. We’re meticulous about choosing children with huge potential who just don’t have the means to complete their education. There’s a formal selection process, and we ensure that the contributions from our Sereni Tribe are used in the most effective way possible.

Want to make a difference? Travel with us! Every trip you book with Sereni Travel Studio helps fund a child’s education. The more you travel, the bigger our impact. Share your journey with friends and family, and encourage them to travel with us too. Every trip helps. Another way to assist is to support our ‘Gift Shop’ where 50% of the profits from this go directly to the education funds. Talk about retail therapy!
If you’ve travelled with us before and want to make an even bigger impact, you can donate directly to sponsor a child’s education. No funds go toward office rent or salaries - 100% of your donation goes towards the education of a child.

At Sereni Travel we believe in transparency and as part of that philosophy we believe it is important for you to know whose life you are changing by traveling with us. The cause is extremely important and personal and we want to keep it that way. Enrolment in schools takes place in January and as we have just launched this initiative we will need to wait until then to announce our very first sponsored child. When we commit to a child, we pledged to support them until they finish school. Keep an eye on this space to meet our very first recipient.
